Sr. Surveyor (E & l)

General Summary

Responsible for providing technical services to the clients in their area of competency, Act as customer owner presenting information on IIVSIPL Services to clients, identifying their needs and reporting to the Operations Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Inspection / Surveillance / Verification tasks as defined in the scope of work
    • Review & approval of QA/QC documents/ ITP etc. Review of Vendors QAP’s as per MR, PR, Drawings, Relevant Standard and Technical Spec.
    • Shall be able to understand and interpret the relevant codes and standard applicable such as like IS, IEC, BS & Projects specifications for inspection.
    • To carry out Shop/Factory Inspection as per Approved PR, ITP, PO, Drawings, Relevant Standard & Technical Spec.
    • Inspection of Electrical Bought out items like Control Panel, Cables, Transformer, Level Switch, Pr.  Safety Valves, Control Valves, Cable Tray, Bus Duct, Fuse Gear, Junction Box, Battery & Battery Charger, Instrumentations etc,
    •  Review of final QC documents dossier etc.
    • Issue of appropriate reports including non-conformance reports.
  2. Issue of IRN/MDCC after review of inspection documents like TPIA’s IRN/IR, Witness Reports, Routine & Type Test Report, review of Material/Bought-out TC, Vendor’s internal Test Reports/Test Certificates
  3. Carry out Technical Audits.
  4. Initiate project closures for completed projects and Maintain job files
  5. Identify new business opportunities within current client base.
  6. Develop professional relationship with customers, obtain periodic feedback and communicate to reporting manager.
  7. Update, knowledge, skill etc for competent delivery of services to the Customer.
  8. Promote team work and share useful information beneficial to all.
  9. Maintain harmonious relationship with colleagues, team members at work place and in office.
  10. Bring to the notice of supervisor in-case of any situation that can hamper IIVSIPL service and its brand image.
  11. Follow safety norms established at each locations assigned.
  12. Knowledge of the IIVSIPL ISO/IEC 17020: 2012 Type A requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Degree / Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline
  • For Degree, Min 10 years of Oil & gas in quality department or any other industry QA/QC with 3 years relevant experience.
  • For Diploma, Min 15 years of Oil & gas in quality department or any other industry QA/QC with 4 years relevant experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills, Sound technical base and Genuine team player
  • Self –motivated and Strong communication skills
  • Good customer service / problem solving skills.
  • Need to be Practical in his approach
