ASME Section II- Materials
ASME Section II – Materials is the backbone of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), providing the official library of approved material specifications, properties, and allowable stresses used across all ASME construction codes. It is divided into four parts: Part A (Ferrous materials), Part B (Nonferrous materials), Part C (Welding consumables), and Part D (Material properties and stress values).
ASME Section IX- Welding’s
ASME Section IX – Welding, Brazing, and Fusing Qualifications is the part of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) that governs how welding and brazing procedures, as well as the performance of welders and welding operators, are qualified. It ensures that joints made in pressure equipment are safe, consistent, and meet code requirements.
ASME Section V- NDE & NDT
ASME Section V – Non-destructive Examination (NDE/NDT) is the part of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) that establishes the rules, procedures, and acceptance criteria for non-destructive testing methods used in pressure equipment fabrication, inspection, and certification. It ensures that welds, materials, and components are free from unacceptable defects without destroying the part.
ASME Section VIII Div. 1 Pr. Vessel & Heat Exchanger Design
ASME Section VIII Division 1 is the most widely used part of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC). It governs the design, fabrication, inspection, and certification of pressure vessels and heat exchangers operating at pressures above 15 psig. Division 1 provides rules for vessels built with relatively straightforward design methods, making it the industry standard for LPG storage tanks, heat exchangers, and process vessels.
ASME Section VIII Div. 1 Pr. Vessel Fabrication
ASME Section VIII Division 1 – Pressure Vessel Fabrication lays out the rules for how vessels are physically built after design approval. It ensures that every stage of fabrication—cutting, forming, welding, inspection, and testing—meets strict safety and quality standards.
