Operations Manager

Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Third Party Inspection Services. Also responsible for the day-to-day execution of the work within the assigned geographic area on pan India basis. Shall also be responsible for overall performance and profitability of the operations.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Direct the day-to-day general office, secretarial, and bookkeeping activities.
  2. Conduct client field inspections as needed.
  3. Coordinate scheduling and staffing of projects, ensuring we have a properly trained

person on the inspection.

  1. Follow up with staff and clients to ensure that the work was completed on schedule and to the clients satisfaction.
  2. May develop and maintain a group of independent inspectors that have the proper

Qualifications and availability to handle current and future work.

  1. Resolve work related client issues including scope of work, quality of work and billing.
  2. Surveyor Reports Review and Surveyor monitoring and as per schedule.
  3. Obtain market information from employees and clients that can be used to increase

work load.

  1. Shall be responsible for handling of customer complaints.
  2. Working knowledge of the IIVSIPL IMS Manual and ISO 17020:2012 Type A

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from accredited university having 12 yrs. of experience with min. 5 yrs. of experience with a Third Party Inspection Agency.
  • Complete knowledge of inspection services offered.
  • Familiar, competent and working knowledge with Engineering National & International Codes and Specification like IS, ASME, EN standards etc.
  • Proven organizational skills in planning and scheduling work.
  • Basic understanding of administration including client billing, maintaining accurate timesheets, and office procedures
  • Solid understanding of current business climate and how it is expected to affect both
  • current and future workloads.
  • Genuine team player, Strong communication skills and Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good customer service / problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of the IIVSIPL IMS Manual and ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Type A
