General Summary
Responsible for providing technical services to the clients in their area of competency, Act as customer owner presenting information on IIVSIPL Services to clients, identifying their needs and reporting to the Operations Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
- Inspection / Surveillance / Verification tasks as defined in the scope of work
- Review & approval of QA/QC documents/ ITP etc
- Review of Non-destructive tests procedures and qualification records of technicians, Qualification of welding procedures and welders.
- Shall be able to understand and interpret the relevant codes and standard applicable for inspection
- Inspection of materials such as plates, pipes, flanges and fittings etc including review of materials and certificates to verify compliance with applicable specifications.
- Inspection of mechanical items such as valves, pumps, compressors etc including witness of Performance Tests.
- Inspection of fabricated items such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, skids, structural equipment etc
- Review of inspection and test plans/weld maps/ welding procedures specifications/ welders qualification records etc, materials inspection including monitoring materials traceability,
- Inspection during fabrication such as bevel preparation, fit ups inspection, monitoring of welding control and usage of qualified welding procedures and welders,
- Review of radiography films and witness/ review reports of other non-destructive tests, final visual and dimensional inspection, review of post weld heat treatment chart and report, witness of pressure testing, painting inspection,
- Review of final QC documents dossier etc.
- Issue of appropriate reports including non-conformance reports.
- Prepare and issue inspection reports and inspection release notes
- In-service inspection of pressure vessels, boilers, turbines, safety valves, cranes and lifting equipment etc. Inspection of lifting appliances. Prepare and submit to his reporting manager for his approval weekly time sheets, periodic progress reports and invoice request forms
- Initiate project closures for completed projects Maintain job files
- Work with client to identify areas to expand current scope of work
- Identify new business opportunities within current client base.
- Develop professional relationship with customers, obtain periodic feedback and communicate to reporting manager.
- Update, knowledge, skill etc for competent delivery of services to the Customer.
- Promote team work and share useful information beneficial to all.
- Maintain harmonious relationship with colleagues, team members at work place and in office.
- Bring to the notice of Operations Manager in-case of any situation that can hamper IIVSIPL service and its brand image.
- Follow safety norms established at each locations assigned.
- Knowledge of the IIVSIPL ISO/IEC 17020: 2012 Type A requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Degree / Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline
- For Degree, Min 10 years of Oil & gas in quality department or any other industry QA/QC with 3 years relevant experience.
- For Diploma, Min 15 years of Oil & gas in quality department or any other industry QA/QC with 4 years relevant experience.
- Additional qualifications such as AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1, API, ASNT NDT Level 2 are preferred.
- Working Experience and knowledge of Mechanical products and competent to do the inspection of these items as per client technical documents and applicable codes & specifications such as ASME/ASTM, EN, IS etc.
